How It Works
Get together for a
planning meeting
First, we sit down and talk about your book idea. If you don’t have anything specific, we’ll hold an Exploration Session where we’ll uncover your best book idea together.
Build table of contents/
content plan
Once we have our idea and audience in mind, the Clay Pigeon team will sketch out a table of contents that will double as the content plan for the next year. Each chapter will be comprised of anywhere from one to four blogs.
Write & publish your
blog posts as we go
Over the course of a year, our team will handle everything involved in writing the book, one blog at a time: from research, to interviews, to writing—we’ll even publish the blog posts on your site!

Compile, edit & publish
the finished book
As we write the blog posts, we will compile them into a manuscript for your book. When we finish writing them all, we’ll go through the whole manuscript to make revisions needed so it flows as a book. Then we’ll lay out the book, design the cover, and publish it for you!

Depending on our availability, we can do it in as little as six months.

Nope! If you don’t have a specific idea, we’ll schedule a brainstorming meeting where we’ll explore your target audience and your specific area(s) of expertise. When we work together, there’s a good chance we’ll uncover an idea that is both compelling and relevant to your firm.

That depends how quickly you want to get through the book. We typically charge $1,500 per blog. With that in mind, let’s say you want to write two blogs per month and we need 24 blogs to finish your book. That would take a year at $3,000 per month for a total of $36,000.
Keep in mind, for that price, you would be getting a year’s worth of blogs on your website, plus a published book!
