The Book Idea Expedition
Advisors: Uncover your best book idea in 3 sessions
One week. Three one-hour conversations. We set out in search of who you are, what you believe, and a book idea that is uniquely yours. You walk away with a table of contents, a plan on how to write it, and a clear path to the finished product. After your expedition is through, you can write it yourself or hire us to work with you.

How the Expedition Works
The Book Idea Expedition consists of three one-hour sessions held over one week, every other day. By the end of session three, you will have a clear book idea, a working table of contents, and a path to write it (and the option to hire us to help you finish it).
These expeditions aren’t easy – the important ones never are. The sessions are intense, and you’ll have homework each time we meet. Come prepared to put in some hard work.
-
Measuring the depth of a body of water is called “depth sounding.” In session one, we use pointed questions as “sounders” to see where your perspective and values are deepest.
At this point in the expedition, we are simply gathering intel, not generating book ideas yet. The goal is to surface the raw material that sets you apart from other advisors.
We’ll go deep together as we explore questions about the undercurrent that drives you forward in your profession.
Your homework after session one: Think of two solid book ideas.
-
You bring ideas and so do we. We put everything on a whiteboard and think through each idea together. Nothing is sacred. Only good ideas survive.
By the end of this session, there should be a clear favorite book idea.
Your homework after session two: Share the favorite book idea with at least two trusted people in your inner circle and get feedback.
-
We confirm the book idea and chart the full course – a table of contents broken down blog by blog with publication dates and keyword research built in.
You leave with a complete map for how to get to your book. Then it’s up to you: write it yourself, or bring us aboard.
